Common Sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos)


Common Sandpiper, such a widespread birds found in more than 159 countries. A adult bird 18-22 cm, feed on insect, crustaceans and other invertebrates and breeds during winter. Common Sandpiper catch insects on flight and build their nest near fresh water. They are winter visitor in Bangladesh.
Photos are taken from Bank of Chuna river, Sundarban West Wildlife Sanctuary, Bangladesh on 30th December 2010.
